Atlantic Games in Bajo Guadiana 2024
The Bajo Guadiana 2024 Atlantic Games are being actively prepared
This 24th edition of the Atlantic Games will be organized from July 4 to 7, 2024 by 5 Spanish and Portuguese municipalities that border the Guadiana River, a magnificent natural frontier between the two countries.
The cities concerned are: Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Castro Marim and Alcoutim for Portugal, Ayamonte and Isla Cristina for Spain.
Sports on the program will include :
- Sailing (Optimist, Ilca 4 and Ilca 6)
- Finswimming
- Rowing, which will give an important place to the Beach Sprint
- River kayaking and Sea kayaking
- Stand up paddle, short and long distance
- Surf Life Saving
- Open water swimming, one of the events of which will be the spectacular crossing of the Guadiana river
- And a new sport: Surf casting (sea fishing)
More than 400 young people are expected, from Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland, United Kingdom and other countries, particularly European ones.
The official notice of race and the team accommodation guidelines will be published in november 2023.
